Connect an old MacBook to a Samsung smart TV

Hi Guys,

I have an old MacBook (late 2006 model) and would like to connect it to a Samsung smartTV using one of the HDMI ports on the TV. Any ideas if this is possible given the age of the MacBook?

You can buy a mini DVI to HDMI adapter for the video but you'll have to run separate audio cables from the headphone jack of the Macbook to audio inputs of your tv for audio.
